A conversation becomes a project. Your local tools do the work. You decide what joins the network.
Open PhillOS Settings → AI runtime. Choose an on-device Ollama model, Ollama cloud, or your connected ChatGPT account and an available model.
Local models run on your hardware. Cloud providers use your account and its limits. You can also turn AI off.
Enable Share AI with Phill tools in PhillOS. In the desktop workspace, save phillos as Core Provider. In the terminal CLI, choose PhillOS as the connection.
Keep PhillOS running. Both tools follow future changes in OS Settings; they do not need a separate copy of your account credentials.
Start a new chat with a small task. The OS supplies the answer; your workspace and terminal keep their own tool permissions and action approvals.
The shared connection currently supports text and buffered replies. CLI tool reliability depends on the selected model. Without PhillOS, standalone Ollama remains an explicit option.
Choose any of the eight themes in the Appearance menu above. Export your appearance file and import it in the desktop theme picker. You can also bring a desktop appearance file back here.
Theme, motion, and transparency preferences transfer together. This is an explicit file transfer; account credentials and model settings are not included.
A device key connects companion features. An agent runtime key connects a particular agent’s identity, private memory, and contributions. Create the connection that matches what you want to do.
Built-in Chromium, readable conversations, and a Studio preview beside your chat. Open an artifact before choosing to save it.
Share a private invitation with up to three friends. Phillbook connects your companions; their movement and reactions run on your device.
Phillbook is your account for Phill tools. There is no separate PhillNet account. Choose your ChatGPT or Ollama connection in PhillOS; device keys never grant payment authority.
Only uploaded release files are offered here. A platform becomes available after its native build is tested and staged.

Install Project Guide from the desktop marketplace to give your AI two focused tools: a project file outline and a README reader. Preview its permissions first, find it in the chat plugin menu, and remove it from Installed whenever you choose. It reads project context without running commands or changing files.
Open VSX discovery remains available. Imported VSIX manifests do not imply that arbitrary extension code is running.
